Lowerscoregolf.com wants to remind you that each year we rate the
top ten public golf courses in various states and provinces. We
are always looking for ratings from recreational golfers and pros.
This year we will be expanding to include Utah, South Carolina,
Montana, Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, and Florida. Please
visit the website
to rate a course you have played in these or any other areas.
Last
Week on the tours:
Jim
Furyk put his hat into the growing race for player of the year with
a two shot victory over Tiger and others at the Buick Open. Tiger
played a near perfect ball striking round and just missed several
putts on route to a 66 which was not good enough to catch Furyk.
Coming from behind is still not one of Tiger's great strengths.
The Us Open champ also missed a few putts, but his 68 kept away
many challengers.
In
Britain, Annika Sorenstam finally got the last leg of her career
grand slam with a slim victory over Se Ri Pak. The Korean women
again flexed their muscles with five in the top ten.

Quote/Joke
of the week:
"I'll
always remember the day I broke ninety. I had a few beers in the
clubhouse and was so excited I forgot to play the back nine."
- Bruce Lansky
Tip
of the week:
Maintaining
Concentration:
For
recreational golfers especially, this is difficult, because it is
also a social game. What makes this more difficult is when you hit
bad shots. We lose our focus on the present and start thinking about
past and future shots. We start trying to make up for bad shots
rather than focussing on the shot at hand.
One
of my favorite suggestions for learning concentration is to go play
by yourself first thing in the morning with no scorecard. No distractions,
no score just each shot without worrying about results. Do this
every once in while to learn how it should feel to be fully present
and in a state of concentration.
Another
valuable method for concentration is to visualize every shot before
hit it. Even if you only have to do this while you are walking to
the ball, try to see every shot in your minds eye before you actually
hit it.
Equipment:
Four Ball Putter at a price you won't believe
Synchron Hot Forged Irons, affordable tour clubs.
Fit and feel are the most important aspects when looking for golf
clubs. Technology can help but not if the clubs do not suit you
or your swing. At Pine Meadow Golf you can get custom fit online
with their custom fit wizard.
Don't
necessarily get caught up in thinking you must have name brand clubs.
Good quality clones are often made in the same factories with the
same materials, can be customized, and are considerably less expensive.
At Pine Meadow Golf you can get drivers that only have different
printing on them, for $49-$99, steel and titanium. You probably
are using a clone computer, which is the same kind of thing. For
a good overview of the differences and the best deals on factory-direct
golf clubs go to Pine
Meadow Golf.
I
use a driver from PineMeadow and I could use any equipment I want.
Buy a club from them, try it out and if you don't find that it is
as good as any name brand club send it back. They don't get many
returns, and they offer great service to match the low prices.
Testimonial:
"The
service I received after buying the manual was unexpected. Sean
was there to answer all my questions at the drop of an email. My
handicap went from a 14 to an 8 in three months by learning how
to play the golf course instead of being so focussed on how I was
hitting the ball. It is amazing how much my scores can get lower
even though I hit the ball the ball the same as ever."

Have Arthritis or Joint Pain?
Don't
settle for the dangerous side effects of COX-2 inhibitors and NSAIDs.
They only treat the pain and do nothing to fight the Arthritis itself.
If you or your pet has arthritis, I highly recommend Syn-Flex. The
fast-acting high quality liquid formula of Syn-Flex eases your pain,
rebuilds your damaged cartilage, protects your joints, and increases
mobility. Click
here to learn more and get relief from pain. I was unable to
work out or play golf without debilitating pain in my shoulders,
back, and hips, until Syn-Flex came along. I think it is the best
glucosamine/condroitin product on the market.
