Ernie Els
victory at the WGC Amex Championship allowed him to take over the number
two spot in the world rankings. An ailing Tiger Woods was able to finsih
in the top ten with his sore back, but still fell to third in the world.
Unfortunately, Vijay Singh and Phil Mickelson were six of the top 60 players
to pull out prior to the tournament.
Meanwhile
back in the States, Fred Funk got his first win since he last won at the
same Southern Farm Bureau Classic six years ago.

I
have never seen such a clear and concise explanation of how to get
rid of a slice the "right way". "The
Dave Way" is the right way. I taught golf for years
and the number one problem for most mid to high handicappers is
a distance robbing slice.
Most
people just compensate by aiming differently but still cannot enjoy
the golf course as much because they hit short weak slices. Then
every once in a while, a good straight one comes off the club only
to end up in the water or out of bounds. It doesn't have to be that
way. In four simple steps you can end your slice and play the course
the way it is supposed to be played. Guaranteed!
Get
"The
Dave Way" ebook and say good-bye to your slice forever.

Tip
of the week:
Tips
for hitting the ground before the ball:
Hitting the
ground before the ball, or "fat shots" is a very common problem
that can lead to injury. This is caused by either coming into the ball
too steeply, and/or decelerating the club head as you hit the ball.
Proper weight
shift is important and keeping your right shoulder back on the downswing
(opposite for left handers) is crucial. There is a tendency to throw the
right shoulder ahead as you come down creating an outside in steep club
path. Focus on swinging more around your body to remedy this. A good drill
is to strap your upper arms to your body and hit balls. This makes it
impossible to throw the shoulder forward.
Don't forget
to accelerate through the ball. When you slow down at the bottom of your
swing, you will hit it fat every time.
